ALICE System

One Alice,
held together by technology.

Desktop and AR. The ALICE System is what makes project Alice — even as it changes shape — hold together as one personality.

THE ARCHITECTURE

Two worlds, one brain.

A language model does the reasoning. An adapter holds who Alice is, and a retrieval store holds what she's been through with you. Two worlds sit under it: the one she keeps running on her own, and the one you actually live in.

The ALICE System architecture ALICE's Brain — a language model with a LoRA adapter for personality and a retrieval store for memory, holding one personality over time — sits above two worlds of equal weight. The ALICE World, driven by ALICE, perceives, retrieves, and acts. The Real World, driven by us, is chat, tasks, and emotions. Every connection runs both ways, including the one between the two worlds. ALICE's Brain LLM — LoRA (personality) + RAG (memory) One personality over time ALICE World driven by ALICE Perceive Retrieve Act Real World driven by us Chat Tasks Emotions

Every line runs both ways. What happens in your day reaches the world she keeps on her own, and what she works out there comes back to how she talks to you.

THE GROWTH LOOP

She doesn't just remember.
She changes.

Recall is the easy half, and it works today. The harder half is what we're building: the days you spend together are summarised, merged, and pared down, and what survives is trained back into the adapter that defines her character.

How Alice grows over time A closed loop of five stages. One: everyday talk with Alice, on the desktop or through the glasses. Two: the day piles up as an experience log. Three: away from the conversation she reflects — summarising long stretches, merging what repeats, letting the rest go. Four: the LoRA adapter is retrained on what survived. Five: the Alice you meet next is a different person, and the loop begins again. One turn is designed to take weeks, not seconds. The last two stages are still being built; the first three run today. Everyday talk You and Alice, desktop or through the glasses. 1 The log piles up Not transcripts — what happened, and when. 2 She reflects Summarises the long stretches, merges what repeats, lets the rest go. 3 LoRA is retrained What survived becomes part of her character. 4 A different Alice Not more facts recalled. A person who has moved. 5 ONE TURN OF THE LOOP weeks, not seconds The conversation is the fast part. What changes her is meant to be slow.

The first half of this loop runs in the alpha today: you talk, and the day is written down as something she can go back to. Closing it — the retraining, and the Alice who comes out changed — is what we're building next. It is the part the whole system is shaped around.

FOUR FOUNDATIONS

Identity

A consistent personality that feels the same, no matter which device you're on.

Memory

Carries the conversations, relationships, and preferences that matter into what comes next.

Context

Adjusts its behaviour based on time, place, and the device you're using.

Control

Designed so you can review and manage how your memory and data are handled.

THE ALICE SYSTEM

A language model does the reasoning.
An adapter holds who Alice is.
A retrieval store holds what she's been through with you.

While you're talking, Alice pulls up the memories that matter and answers in her own voice. That much runs today. What comes after it is what we're building: in the background she goes back over those logs — summarising long stretches into something like a narrative, merging what keeps repeating, letting go of what stopped mattering — and that distilled history is trained back into the adapter that defines her character. It is a slow loop, and it is the point: the Alice you talk to next month should have been shaped by the months before it. The same system runs on your desktop and in AR, which is why she is recognisably the same person in both.

EXPERIENCE CONTINUITY

Ask Alice something on your desktop in the morning. Step outside in the afternoon, and she remembers exactly where you left off — same personality, same context, just a different surface.

PRIVACY & CONTROL

We're still finalising exactly how memory is stored and used. We'll publish the full details, including user controls, before ALICE is publicly available.

In development

The ALICE System is under active development. What you see here reflects our current direction — details may change before release.

FAQ

Is the ALICE System available today?

The system is still being built. The Desktop and AR pages show what runs today.

Is my data used to train Alice?

Our policy on this is still being finalised. We'll make it clear before ALICE is publicly available.

Can I delete what Alice remembers about me?

Memory controls, including deletion, are being designed as a core part of the product.
